Ahead of its August 30th debut, Audi has announced its upcoming Audi e-tron EV will feature virtual exterior mirrors, replacing standard side mirrors.
According to Audi, the cost-optional virtual mirrors of the Audi e-tron will serve to cut wind noise, reducing its width by 150mm and drag-coefficient by a paltry 0.28, in an effort to pull out all stops towards improved aerodynamics. Images from the camera are relayed to OLED displays between the door and dashboard, with three view configurations that adjust mirror upon highway driving, turning, and parking.
