Craig Phillips
Craig wore a path from his house to the local lake as a kid, and after college began his career as a Federal land manager. He soon became a hunter education and shooting sports instructor and avid upland bird and waterfowl hunter. He found his true passion in fly fishing which led to guiding, teaching, and writing to help others improve their skills and fishing success. He continues to teach fly fishing and shotgunning at the Kansas Becoming an Outdoors Woman program, offer seminars at fly fishing events, and fish when he can. He still works as a Supervisory Environmental Manager and resides in St. George, Kansas with his wife (who is becoming a very fine fly angler), and explores new outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, trekking to fish high lakes in the Rockies, and hiking across the Grand Canyon in a single day. But he is diligent about carving out time for home brewing beer and smoking meat.
