Sam Hoober was exposed to outdoor pursuits at an early age, his first camping trip occurring at 9 months. Subsequent camping trips have occurred too infrequently for his liking, but he hasn't found anyone willing to pay him to go camping (yet). He has remained passionate about the outdoors and has become an avid hunter, occasional fisherman, as well as a longtime recreational shooter and Second Amendment advocate. He earned his Bachelor's from Eastern Washington University, and is currently a contributing editor for Alien Gear Holsters, Bigfoot Gun Belts, and contributor for other websites as well.
