Ready to try your hand at the brand new tournament fishing simulator? Bassmaster 2022 is available now.
The long-awaited release date of Bassmaster Fishing 2022 video game from Dovetail Games is upon us, and it's now available on Xbox (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X), Playstation (PS4 and PS5), and PC via Steam. It's the official video game of B.A.S.S., and being touted as "the biggest and most authentic sports fishing game ever made."
Bassmaster Fishing 2022 includes multiplayer cross-play, a Bassmaster Royale mode, and a "Career Mode" leading players from the college series competitions to the Bassmaster Elite events all the way to a shot at becoming the Bassmaster Classic champion.
There's even a Deluxe Edition with added features and challenges.
Now all those bass fishing days lost to rain or bad conditions can be made up with a little simulated action.
"Working directly with Bassmaster and many of the best anglers in the world has allowed us to take the simulation in Bassmaster Fishing 2022 and deliver the most authentic bass angling experience to date," said Dovetail Games CEO Jon Rissik. "We hope that we can help foster a new generation of anglers who find a lifelong love of fishing, both in-game and in real life, and look forward to working with our fantastic community as we grow and expand the game after launch."
Here's a video in which three Elite Series pros share their thoughts. Scott Martin, Carl Jocumsen, and two-time Bassmaster Classic winner Hank Cherry gave their reactions to being playable characters in a video game for the first time.
Upon its launch, these are the real-world venues that will be fishable in Bassmaster Fishing 2022: St. Johns River, Toledo Bend, Lake Guntersville, Chickamauga Lake, Lake Ray Roberts, Sabine River, Lake Hamilton and St. Lawrence River. More venues will be added through an expansion pack in the future. Lake Hamilton is the only venue open for multiplayer mode, but other lakes will be useable on a rotating basis as well.
