When an intruder attempted to break in his owner's home, Binky the cat sprung into action, warding him off until help arrived.
It's not uncommon to hear about guard dogs, but have you ever heard of a guard cat? One Indiana resident learned that her beloved feline has been a secret guardian all along, which he proved by warding off an unwelcome intruder.
Named Binky, the gray and white tabby stopped a would-be burglar in his tracks as he tried to enter the home of Indianapolis resident Cynthia Kootz.
Kootz had reportedly heard a noise outside near her garage around midnight but didn't think much of it after a quick check revealed nothing out of the ordinary. Moments later, a frantic man began banging on her front door, demanding that he let her inside. When she refused, he attempted to find his own way in through a nearby window, which turned out to be a huge mistake.

"...His hand went through that thing and then, next thing I knew, Binky went after him," Kootz said in an interview with KOAA News 5.
Binky's attack forced the man away, and when he tried to enter a second time, Binky still didn't back down despite being declawed, and bit down on the burglar repeatedly. Amid the commotion, local police were called and arrested the man upon arrival, charging him with vandalism and residential entry. Paramedics were also called to tend to the wounds left on the man, courtesy of one protective cat.

In this case, it sounds like the victim got what he deserved, but if you end up on the wrong end of a cat bite, you might want to head to a doctor ASAP to prevent the spread of a possible infection.
