If you thought you were having a rough start to your day, just know that it definitely could be worse, as the following clip shows just how quickly a perfectly normal day can go completely sideways. In a viral video racked up millions of views on Twitter, we see a bobcat appear out of nowhere and attack a woman standing in her driveway. From what we can see, it appears the video was captured with a home security camera in was looks like a nice neighborhood. The husband is waving "good morning" to a neighbor jogging when complete chaos ensues. Only moments later, he's doing everything he can to yank a growling, manic bobcat off his wife on the other side of the car.

We are almost at a loss for words on this one. Even with as many animal attack videos as there are out there, it's hard to remember another being as unintentionally funny as this one was. We don't want to laugh at someone else's misery, but the comedic timing of everything is perfect from the cheerful morning greeting to the realization he had just picked up an angry wild cat, to the impressive toss across the lawn. And then of course, the line about needing to "shoot that f***er," and the bewilderment of the neighbor: "a bobcat?" "A bobcat attacked my wife!"
The couple in the video have since been identified as Happy and Kristi Wade of Burgaw, North Carolina. WECT News 6 reports they were taking their cat to the vet when the bobcat attacked. It was confirmed Happy shot the bobcat, as he told the news station he felt he had to because he could tell something was wrong with the animal.
"In my head, I knew it had already attacked two people. If it had attacked somebody else and I didn't do something, morally it would have bothered me for a long time," Happy told the station. "It was hurting my wife and I didn't want it to."
Testing later reinforced Happy's intuition, as the bobcat was indeed rabid. Because Happy was bitten multiple times after grabbing the cat, he had to get 30 shots for rabies treatment, as did his wife. Commenters on the original post pointed out that you can see the bobcat crossing the street at the 0:04 mark, and many speculated that it was after the cat in the carrier. But, whatever the case may be, at least the couple and their pet made it out of this wild encounter.
