At almost $3 million, the Bugatti Chiron has a lot of features, but it didn't offer a sunroof... until now!
That's right, Bugatti thought that a car with almost 1,500 horsepower and the ability to run from 0-60 in close to 2 seconds needed a little extra sun in the cabin. And so you get the new Sky View option on the Bugatti Chiron hypercar.
Each of the roof's two fixed glass panels measure about 3 square feet bringing in plenty of light, but at the same time, this option allows for an extra inch of headroom. The Sky View panels consist of thin glass with four laminated layers to help reduce wind noise, infrared radiation as well as harmful UVA and UVB rays, and, just for good measure, the tinted panels ensure privacy for the Bugatti Chiron driver.
In terms of styling, the Sky View roof creates a cool effect down the roof of the Chiron, highlighting the central spine the runs from the roof back to the car's tail. This design element is present on the standard-roof Chiron, but it accentuates the split opening over the engine bay.
Bugatti didn't say how much the Sky View option will cost Chiron buyers, but as they say, if you have to ask...
This option has been available since July, and Bugatti showed it off for the first time at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance alongside the all-new Bugatti Divo.
