It took Corey Jacobsen a couple of weeks to find out what was scaring all the black bears off his bait site in Idaho. The answer may surprise you.
When he's not out elk hunting, taking sick kids on the hunt of a lifetime or maintaining his spot as one of the best elk callers in the world, Corey Jacobsen also does a little black bear hunting.
A couple years ago, he was running into problems with something scaring the bears off his bait site in Idaho.

Yep, that was a wolf.
Apparently a pack had staked out that area as part of their territory and didn't appreciate those bears intruding on it. As you can see, deer and elk are not the only species afraid of wolves.
