When you're going from shore or dock to the ocean—even ocean as calm as this—you had better have some experience dealing with the breakers.
It's very obvious right away that these blokes have done it all before, and have the skill necessary to get out to the open water.
It's just that you are going to think that they are done for when you start watching!

We've seen this kind of footage before, and it didn't end well. The areas in between the breaks would tell a novice that the water is an calm as it can be, but a veteran boater would know better than to just hit the gas and go.
