Can You Catch Fish Using a Laxative? What About Soap?

You can catch fish on lots of strange things. But could could either of these possibly work?

Some of the best fishing stories start with a bet or a challenge. In this latest video from Catfish and Carp, you're about to witness a challenge for the ages. A friend of the host sends him a box of "bait" he has to use to catch a catfish. Low and behold, it's a box of laxatives, a box of soap, and a few catfish attractants to make it all come together. What do you think? Will this work?

The fact these were name-brand products didn't seem to improve their fish-catching abilities. Unfortunately for the challenge, it just didn't work out.

We're sure some fish have been caught on some strange baits in the past, and probably will be in the future. We've also heard countless tales anglers catching fish being on soap. However, at least for this challenge, the soap just didn't cut it, regardless of how much catfish attractant might have be on it.

When it comes to chasing catfish, just stick to night crawlers or dead shad. It'll probably make things a lot easier.
