Can You Split Logs With Bullets?

Firearms are amazing machines useful for many different tasks, but can you split logs with them?

Can you split wood with bullets? It may not be super effective, but I can guarantee it would be a whole lot of fun. I mean who needs an axe or log splitter when you have heavy artillery and plenty of ammo?

Edwin Sarkissian has another interesting YouTube video for us to watch as he runs through a number of different calibers attempting to split a large log.

So, .50 BMG wasn't able to split the pine tree log. But, with more seasoned firewood at a smaller size, the .50 BMG was an outstanding log splitter.

However, Edwin wanted turn that pine tree into some firewood before the experiment was over, so he went to Plan B, which stood for BOOM. With some explosives, the big log split perfectly!
