Can You Use Canola Oil, Dr. Pepper, and Paint in a Mercury Grand Marquis?

How far will this Mercury make it?

In this 15-minute clip by YouTube channel Haggard Garage, we see an early 2000s Mercury Grand Marquis doing a burnout after being filled with Great Value canola oil, 14 cans of Dr. Pepper "coolant," and pink paint.

"It's slippery - I think the bearings will like that!"

Surprisingly, the car makes it out of the garage and into the yard. The hosts thrash the car in circles around the property for several minutes, reaching up to 35 miles per hour.

Around nine minutes into the video, the Grand Marquis begins to crumble. One last shot of pink paint is added to the timing belt and windshield washer system.

"It definitely smells like fast food!"

A few minutes later, the car springs a leak due to carbonation overload. Surprisingly, the engine itself never stopped operating.

Perhaps the hosts are on to something after all.
