They all had their own pups for inspiration for the film.
Wes Anderson's highly-anticipated stop-motion animated film "Isle of Dogs" will finally be released to the public today, which is, probably not coincidentally, National Puppy Day. The voice cast from the film, including Bill Murray, Bob Balaban, Liev Schreiber, Jason Schwartzman, Courtney B. Vance, Jeff Goldblum, Koyu Rankin, Kunichi Nomura, Tilda Swinton, and Wes Anderson, all got together for the official release and to celebrate rescue puppies.
Vulture got exclusive rights to the photo shoot organized by Fox Searchlight Pictures, Best Friends Animal Society, and Paw Prints Screening Series with the puppies. And while we can't use the photos due to copyright (you can see them here), we have compiled some other photos of the Hollywood stars with their four-legged friends.
Here's Bill Murray weaseling his way into more hearts by posing with puppies.
And Jeff Goldblum definitely used his Poodle's quirks for help with his own dog role.
Tilda Swinton has five dogs at home.
Jason Schwartzman didn't know what to do with the cuteness.
But Jeff Goldblum did.

Here he is with more puppies on the Today show.
Bill Murray was looking classy on the photo shoot set.
And he also got some major puppy cred when he read a poem about dogs at South by Southwest.
Bob Balaban got plenty of puppy kisses for National Puppy Day.
Liev Schreiber has a pup named Woody.
Woody has been down the red carpet a few times.
Courtney B. Vance is the narrator in the film. And he had a nice pose with a pup.
And finally, of course Wes Anderson loves dogs.
"Isle of Dogs" is in theaters today, Friday March 23, 2018. If you are in San Francisco you can even go see the new film with your dog.
Happy National Puppy Day!
