This video of a pet dog getting eaten by a croc is pretty hard to watch.
Shocking video has just emerged from a film crew that was on location at the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park located in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa while filming local wildlife.
What was caught on tape by accident is actually pretty hard to watch.
What you are about to see is an unsuspecting pet dog get eaten by a croc.
I think it's safe to say that the dog never even saw it coming. As seen on the park's Facebook page, a statement has been issued.
"A film crew working with the iSimangaliso Authority last weekend witnessed and filmed a negative encounter between a dog and crocodile. The dog was taken by a crocodile after entering the water at iSimangaliso's Lake St Lucia Estuary mouth and harassing hippos and crocodiles. This unfortunate event took place because the animals were not on leashes. Visitors must please take note of the warning signage of the presence of potentially dangerous wildlife such as hippo, crocs and sharks. This part of the Park offers open access to all visitors including their animals but these should always be on leashes.
iSimangaliso is special in that dog owners are permitted to walk their pets on several of the trails and beach areas directly adjacent to the St Lucia town area that are outside of the Big 5 game fence. However they should always be leashed for the protection of both dogs and wildlife, which is prolific in the area."
Wow. What a terrible accident that could have been avoided.
