Jokgu the Chicken proved that fowl are much smarter than most people give them credit for with her remarkable skills on the keyboard.
Jokgu was part of The Flockstars, an all-chicken band that hailed from Maryland. The buff Brahma Bantam chicken soared to popularity when videos of her incredible skills playing the piano made waves around the internet. During her rise to fame, she appeared on various TV shows, including America's Got Talent, and was featured in numerous news articles. She even had her own line of e-greeting cards and apparel!
Need proof? This incredible video of her playing "America The Beautiful" has been viewed nearly 17 million times on the Two Creative Chicks YouTube channel.

It's obvious that this special keyboard helps Jokgu out by lighting up the correct keys in red, but don't let that diminish your amazement of this impressive feat. Two Creative Chicks addressed this concern in one of the video comments:
"...the keyboard does the lighting of the keys by a program that uses a midi file. We have worked with training her and conditioning her with positive reinforcement to hit those lighted keys consistently and try to do so with nice timing. Not as easy as it looks."
Clearly, chickens are much smarter than most people think. However, it's probably safe to say that Jokgu was one-of-a-kind! For another taste of her incredible skills, check out this beautiful rendition of Puccini's "O Mio Babbino Caro."
Sadly, Jokgu passed away in March 2020. This is one chicken who is surely flying amongst the stars and will never be forgotten.
