The Corvette C8 is expected to debut as a concept by 2019, introducing the 8th generation of the iconic American car. Expect multiple engine variants, including a base model LT1 6.2 V8 with 500 horsepower and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, as well as a twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 with a possible flat-plane crankshaft for a higher RPM range, not to mention an electric motor.
Other features expected for the sports car include a front-end lift for better street driving and possible hybrid option with an 800-horsepower gas engine in the rear and a 200-horsepower electric motor for the front wheels.
