The blue whale is the largest mammal on earth, and its bite is just as impressive!
Recently, scientists filming in the South Ocean off the coast of New Zealand were able to capture this amazing arial footage of a blue whale taking a seriously massive gulp of krill. The footage reveals exactly how these animals move when it comes time to engulf their prey.

Due to the size of these whales, it takes an extreme amount of energy in order to propel them through the water. This is one of the main reasons they're naturally picky eaters.
As the whale approaches its prey, it turns slightly, opens its mouth, and engulfs the krill with the largest mouth in the animal kingdom. I think we can all agree this is absolutely amazing footage!
