matchstick pistol

Ever Seen a Battery-Powered Gun Before?

Here's your step-by-step tutorial on how to make an electric matchstick pistol.

So many of the videos we come across nowadays have been sped up to the point where you can hardly tell what's going on.

Well here's one simple piece of footage that gives you an easy tutorial on how to make a tiny 'gun' that shoots homemade ammo using matchsticks!

Warning: If made correctly, this thing will shoot live projectiles and could be dangerous!

Don't shoot your eye out, kid.

Calling it an 'electric' pistol is probably a little off, but it does use the battery's current to cause the wire to glow and ignite the charge.

Maybe the most involved part of the process was procuring the 'gunpowder.' Basically the interior wire heats up (as shown in the video) and ignites the match material causing enough explosive force to fire the small plastic ball.

While this little matchstick pistol will really shoot a projectile, it's probably not much more dangerous than holding a rounded piece of wood and drilling it in your hand.

Be smarter than the wooden pistol and keep this away from small children! This should only be used under complete adult supervision.
