Elon Musk sells 15,000 flamethrowers in record speed, grossing $7.5 million.
Elon Musk, tech billionaire, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, and founder of The Boring Company, released a flamethrower that has been spreading across the web like wildfire.
He shared an image on Instagram on January 27 showing the propane flamethrower.
Since the initial post, he's been updating the number of flamethrowers sold. While writing this article, he's tweeted 15,000 have been sold.
Elon introduced The Boring Company to the public last spring. The company's core mission is "To solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic, roads must go 3D, which means either flying cars or tunnels."
Since the announcement of the Boring Company, they've sold a limited run of 50,000 Boring hats. Now, they've released a limited run of 20,000 flamethrowers.
Elon has been tweeting about the flamethrowers since the announcement. Here are some of the more amusing tweets:
You?d need millions of zombies for a so-called ?apocalypse? anyway. Where would I even get a factory big enough to make so many!?

Obviously, a flamethrower is a super terrible idea. Definitely don?t buy one.

But wait, there?s more: the flamethrower is sentient, its safe word is ?cryptocurrency? and it comes with a free blockchain

Here's a video of Elon using the Boring Flamethrower:
The sales page is also comical, to say the least.
Unfortunately for some who felt a Boring Company Flamethrower was an ideal addition to their survival supplies, Musk dropped the news earlier this week:
