The internal components of an engine move at mind-bending speeds. Look what happens when everything goes wrong.
In this YouTube compilation by AJRacing, it looks like the engine falls out of some of these drag trucks, pulling tractors, and dyno-tuned hatchbacks due to failing head bolts.
In these instances, the top end of the engine - the intake, head, and so on - separate from the engine's bottom end. Other engine failures are more anticlimactic, such as a dirt bike experiencing a rod failure, sending fractured pieces of the internals and case flying forward toward the front tire.
Either way, there's a lot of time and money going up in smoke in this compilation. Literally.
