Just because this guy has a big fish in his hands doesn't mean he caught it.
If you've been a fisherman long enough you've probably lost a big one on accident at some point. Handline fishing isn't the easiest thing to do, but when you do it like this, you're going to have problems.
Sometimes they spit the hook, and sometimes they outsmart the fisherman, and then this can happen:
Seems he horsed it a little too much, no? It also didn't help that he dragged it over the rocks first and probably put a nick in the line while doing so.
Watching it break off and seeing him try to dive in after it certainly gave his friends a laugh, though!
