When you think about it, almost everything we pursue as hunters eats corn.
So, why would it be surprising that fish would eat it too? Plus, what else would make such a cheap and easy bait? Watch the video to learn how.
Well, now we have a choice. Use the leftover corn in a feeder to attract some spring deer or catch yourself a fish fry. Why not both?
An important thing to note: make sure you soak and boil the corn. Not only will it make it easier to hook, but it's safer for the fish. If anything runs off with your bait and you don't hook it, you risk the corn swelling in its stomach and killing it. Just like you aren't supposed to throw rice at weddings, don't fish with hard corn.
