Wait... that's not a catfish!
The Fish Whisperer is always making some interesting Youtube videos, and his latest one is no exception. He went out trying to catch a giant flathead catfish using a live bluegill as bait.
But what he thought was a monstrous catfish on the end of his line ended up being something else entirely. Something with a LOT of teeth...
It's not every day one hooks a seven-foot alligator by mistake! And I thought the time I hooked a snapping turtle was cool.
Luckily for these guys the big alligator was able to get itself free before they had to try and get closer to cut the line themselves. Suddenly, I'm glad I'm in Michigan where we don't have critters this large lurking in the murky depths.
While they didn't catch the big flathead they were looking for, that's still a great little adventure caught on camera. What would you do if you ever hooked an alligator?
