A fish like this has a pretty solid story behind it.
You know how it works. Your buddy tells you about the fish that got away along with the incredible story that almost put the fish in the net. However, every now and then, the opposite happens and there's photo evidence to back it up. Then, the story becomes a whole heck of a lot more believable. As you are about to hear, the story about this giant northern pike is almost too good to be true.
Now that's something else, isn't it? The girth on this thing is absolutely incredible. Things just seem to work out for Jared Churco. He was expecting a large perch, but instead, grabbed this once-in-a-lifetime fish out of the ice.
After a 15-minute fight, he was able to drag it up through the ice. Almost expectedly, Churco already has his fish at the taxidermist. That giant northern pike is going to look incredible on his wall.
