Make sure you choose the right one.
Deciding what holster to use is one of the most important decisions you'll make when it comes to carrying a firearm. I spent more time researching holsters than I did my mortgage. To ensure safety and comfort, here are a few quick tips to follow.
Having a discreet holster these days is probably the most important thing to consider. For that, you should stick primarily to an inside-the-waist holster. As an example, I used to carry with an outside-the-waist holster until I was at a gas station and someone noticed my firearm and panicked. Learn from my mistake and carry more discretely.
One thing that I did overlook is the quick-deployment aspect and the ability to change my carry position. Once I have it on my waist, that's where it stays.
