Roselyne Kerjosse's safari trip in Chobe Park, Botswana, became an epic showcase for wildlife survival. The tourist captured a fantastic death match between a hungry python, a lucky honey badger, and a pair of sneaky jackals. The python, probably on the badger's lunch menu, had turned the tables on the tough-as-nails predator and was coiled around the badger in a death grip that it couldn't break. Then, the two back-stabbing jackals crept in to make this a fatal-four-way match. Since the jackals wanted the python for themselves, and the honey badger wasn't about to give in, a fight for the ages was about to begin. It's one of those stories that would be hard to believe if there wasn't video evidence to back the encounter up. You can watch it all unfold in the video below.
Honey badgers are one of the most ferocious animals known to man. Its name is a bit of a misnomer; honey badgers more closely resemble weasels than actual badgers. Regardless, honey badgers are known for their aggression. For being so small in stature, they still hold their own over creatures such as lions and even buffalo. Always remember: honey badger don't care.
Jackals are opportunistic hunters. They get what they can from some other predator better at hunting than they are, like that brother-in-law who never gets a deer but always wants some of your jerky.
Pythons, on the other hand, generally eat smaller mammals but have been known to go up to antelope. Unfortunately for this enormous reptile, it lost out on a honey badger thanks to two freeloading jackals.
