Legendary toy brand Hot Wheels is celebrating its 50th anniversary by releasing a new line of Forever Stamps by USPS.
First debuting 50 years ago as a hot commodity with its rock-bottom 59-cent price per die-cast toy car, it launched with a Camaro RS before selling more than 10,000 different models.
Now, it is releasing a collection of stamps to celebrate the occasion with 10 designs by artists Greg Breeding and William J. Guicketr.
Each stamp features a single model on a bright orange track sloping downward in perpetual motion.
"These miniature works of art truly capture the thrill and excitement of these legendary vehicles and now will speed their way as Forever stamps on millions of cards and letters," said Steve Monteith, vice president of marketing at USPS.
Some models making the cut include the 1994 Rigor Motor, the 1971 Rocket-Bye-Baby, the 1974 Rodger Dodger, and the 40th anniversary 2008 HW40.
