Finding new hunting spots can become difficult, especially if you feel like all the good ones are gone or already occupied. However, one hunter has devised a creative solution to the age-old hunting conundrum. TikToker Hunter Cleve posted a video with his rather clever approach: catfishing fellow hunters to find out where they were hunting, a tactic that apparently got three other hunters, hook, line, and sinker, into coughing up their planned locations.

In the video, Hunter Cleve explains that he was coming up on the opening day of bowhunting season and needed to find some new locations. So, he says, "I made a fake Tinder and catfished these dudes into giving me all their onX locations and game camera pictures." However, his result-producing ruse hit one rather large snag. All the men wanted to hunt with him. Well, they wanted to hunt with the fake Tinder version of him. So what's a guy to do? His solution was all too perfect.
"I gave these three dudes the exact same location," he says in the TikTok video. "So they will all be meeting up tomorrow morning with each other, thinking they will be meeting up with me."
If it pans out, their stands will be free for the TikTok video poster to hunt from, all while these three fellas will be wondering where their friend from Tinder is. Ultimately, he wishes Will, Adam, and Austin "good luck" and tells them they "are going to need it."
Hunter Cleve's video was an instant TikTok hit with over 3,000 comments. Many viewers desperately waited for Part 2, or the aftermath of the story, and others were willing to give up their ex's spots. One viewer wrote, "You just created a trio of hunters that I don't think are hunting deer anymore." Hunter Cleve chimed in with, "Nah. They'll be alright."
Some viewers commented with alternative solutions. One wrote, "Apologize and say you accidentally overslept. get 2 hunting mornings out of it." Another said, "What u could have done. Was meet them also, and be like, where's Becky, and they all say, wow, we got catfished. Did we become best friends?"
Most viewers applauded the energy behind the effort. One said, "That's so mean... do it again." The best responses came from guys with the same names as the dudes in the story. They took it all in stride and played along. One named Austin started it off with, "I thought we were soulmates!" Hunter Cleve replied," My bad." Another named Adam chimed in with, "See you in the morning."
Most viewers agreed that this is a "genius" and "brilliant" approach to hunting season. As one viewer wrote, "Some play checkers. Some play chess." Hunter Cleve is definitely playing chess.
