We're all for a celebratory cigar, both pre- and post-hunt, when a coyote is on the hit list.
Len Sparling has his priorities down pat. While on an Ontario hunt with son Kurtis this November, he expertly shows us what multi-tasking is all about... by puffing on a fine cigar and simultaneously putting an arrow in a nuisance 'yote.
A well-placed shot with a crossbow from 25 yards spells lights out for this coyote, and Kurtis captures it all perfectly on film. And you have to love this awesome line, spoken from son to father, after the successful kill:
"I guess he smelled that cigar, eh?"

Here's the cool footage:
Great to see a family out together, enjoying the great outdoors and the hunting opportunities that abound. Even more so when it means one less coyote wreaking havoc on the whitetails.
So remember. Next time things are slow in the stand, take a page from the elder Sparling's book. Light up a fine cigar and enjoy the moment. Chances are your luck will change for the better.
