When your spouse isn't a hunter, the last thing you want is for them to tag along while you try to land a buck or two. The idea can give some guys nightmares, making it the perfect topic for Dude Dad to tackle. In the video, Taylor sports a red wig to play the wife in the YouTube video. We see the husband and wife duo sitting in the blind, waiting for a deer to show up. The wife immediately launches into how the scenery reminds her of their wedding with all the beautiful fall leaves and colors. Of course, she is talking nonstop, and the husband has no choice but to step in to ad urge her to be quiet. You know, so they don't scare the deer away. He says it will be so much fun when they get the deer. Of course, the wife attempts to be quiet, but it doesn't last long.
"When do the deer come?" pops out of her mouth just seconds later, and she's met with another reminder to stay quiet. Then the wife gets ahold of the deer urine, applying it to her neck after her husband explains that it's like "perfume for the bucks."
Then the husband tries out his trusty deer call, prompting the wife to mock him. Finally, after some shenanigans involving a bag of chips, the husband exclaims, "Seriously! I get to go hunting one day a year!" Almost perfectly on cue, the deer shows up, lending his support to the husband, asking, "Is she really always this loud?"
The husband tries to get his wife to stop talking so he can take a shot, but the deer throws some more shade, this time in the husband's direction. "You guys know I can see you. That looks nothing like a tree," the buck says. The wife shoots an "I told you so" in her husband's direction before complimenting the deer on his newly velvet-free antlers.
The antics continue as the hunter tries to get the deer to come a little closer, but the deer is smarter than that. He says he's been looking for a doe he'd smelled all day, and the wife asks if he is a bachelor looking for love. His response? "Some would say that I have does in different area codes."
The husband comments that that may be the way to go, putting him in hot water with his wife. As he tries to backtrack, the wife decides she's had enough and shoots the deer in the leg. "What a rush! Ooh, you're right, babe, hunting is fun!" she exclaims as the deer hobbles off, aiming for private property to ruin the hunter's day further. But the wife comes in clutch with, "Now it's time for my hobby. Hobby Lobby."
