Ice Fishermen Pull Out Massive King Crabs

Bet you've never seen ice fishing like this before!

Ice fishing has an element of surprise like no other kind of fishing. You really just have no idea what you're going to pull up until it's at the surface.

However, ice fishing in Alaska takes that element to a whole new level.

Watch as these ice fishermen pull monster king crabs through the ice using fishing line.

Look at the legs on those things! There's no doubt these guys are going to have themselves a feast at the rate they're going in this video. The only question is whether or not it would actually fit in a crab pot!

These look to be red king crabs, also know as the Kamchatka crab or the Alaskan king crab, which are native to the Bering Sea and the North Pacific Ocean. King crab fishing is popular in these areas, but ice fishing for them isn't very common.

Alaska is home to some of the best hunting and fishing in all of North America, and the ability to go ice fishing for king crabs just made it even better.
