Remember when the Humvee replaced the military's Jeeps? Well, now the Humvees are the ones being replaced.
In an infographic shared by tacticalgear.com, we see the Oshkosh JLTV and AM General Humvee in a side-by-side comparison. We can see that the armor, while making the Oshkosh JLTV heavier, provides much more protection.
Also, the JLTV is much faster than the old Humvee. The U.S. Army ordered 49,099 JLTVs, and the Marine Corps. 5,500 JLTVs, while the Air Force ordered 140 of these tough vehicles.
