As I write this, it's in the low 20s in Michigan, and it's snowing. Not exactly salmon fishing weather.
Then I came across this video from August 2016, and it got me raring to get out on Lake Michigan this summer.

Zach, the teen who made the video, and his grandfather try to get out salmon fishing once a year.
In 2016, they headed up to Frankfort, Mich., to set lines on Lake Michigan.
The salmon fishing was slow last year in early August, but it looks like the grandfather-grandson team did all right.
I have to say, I like what this young man is doing. He's getting out fishing with his grandfather.
He's making memories and making some good videos.
And he's putting some nice filets from fish he has caught in the freezer.
And he's making me really want spring and summer to get here so I can get out salmon fishing.
Two for four in two days on the open waters of Lake Michigan sounds really good right now.
