Iowa has a new archery whitetail buck record, and it's a beast!
It looks as if the Iowa archery whitetail buck record has fallen, and the new title belongs to a gnarly-antlered beast nicknamed the Kornhill Buck. Deric Sieck, who lives in Fayette, Iowa, is the lucky hunter who tagged out on this trophy buck during that state's archery season.
The deer officially scored 282 2/8 net, and once confirmed, will be declared Iowa's new archery buck record.
See the record-setting buck for yourself at the Iowa Deer Classic (March 3-5, 2017) in Des Moines, Iowa. It will be found at the All Terrain Taxidermy booth.
Sieck's record comes on the heels of Stephen Tucker's world record whitetail deer, harvested on November 7, 2016 in Tennessee. You can read about that beast of a buck here.
