You heard it right, an electric Jeep Wrangler is coming.
Almost as an afterthought, the presenter at Jeep's 2018 Wrangler unveiling at the L.A. Auto Show dropped a bomb. Mike Manley, who was streamed live from L.A. before the Auto Show opens to the public tomorrow, went into great detail about the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
But with only two minutes left in the entire 26-minute presentation, the quote came:
"Earlier I mentioned four powertrains, and in addition to the all-new hybrid Wrangler, a full, plug-in electric Jeep Wrangler will be available in 2020."
The fan of Jeep could already be described as suffering, as a Jeep Truck has essentially been "promised" in their eyes since 2005. That may finally see the light of day in the next year or so, but time will tell.
And now it seems as though the off-road icon is going to jump on the electric bandwagon. Here's what the early reactions are like:

What do you think? Is it a good call to enter the electric market, or should Jeep stick to what it knows?
