A surprise pop-up gig will entertain the crowd after Day One Weigh-In.
In celebration of the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic, which is taking place in Greenville, South Carolina, outdoor retailer Field and Stream has just announced a surprise gig by country music star Jason Aldean.
The free pop-up concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 16 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, immediately following the Day One Weigh-In. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. for the Weigh-In, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Jason Aldean, who was nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards, has been a Field and Stream spokesperson since 2016.
"We're thrilled to bring to life Field & Stream's partnership with Jason Aldean through this surprise pop-up show at the world's premier bass fishing tournament," said Field and Stream Brand Manager Robby Dorsch. "We know a lot of our consumers are also country music fans, so we're excited to create this unique experience for those who will be in Greenville for this great event."
Aldean took to Twitter this morning to make the big announcement:
"I've always been into pretty much anything outdoors," Aldean said. "I grew-up fishing with my Dad and Grandad, so it'll be cool to get out there with Field & Stream and be a part of this year's Bassmaster Classic."
The 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic is presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods, which owns and operates Field and Stream.
