It takes skill to catch a big walleye on a lake with a rod and reel.
But how about trying to catch one by hand? From the dock?
Check out the hand-eye coordination of the fellow in this video.
Before you say, "That wouldn't be so hard," just think about the times you've tried to get a handle on a squirming, slimy fish.
The guy in the video scoops, lifts, and holds at just the right times. And he is able to hold onto the big walleye for a measurement.
A 23-inch walleye is nothing to sneeze at!
But, I have to admit the guy in the video did have one advantage. The video was shot at Booi's Fly-In Lodge on Trout Lake in Ontario.
The advantage? They hand-feed the walleye from the dock there. So, the big walleye are just waiting for something to hit the water so they can get a meal.
