This big rig lost the battle with a high-flying deer.
Animal collisions can be a deadly affair for drivers. Luckily that wasn't the case in this story, but as you can clearly see, even a massive snow plow had the stuffing beat out of it by a wayward deer.
The crash occurred during the early morning hours of Jan. 5 on MD 136 near the Deer Creek bridge. It was there a Maryland State Highway Administration snow plow collided with a deer, tossing it through the windshield.
The driver, although not seriously hurt, was pinned under the animal until fire crews were able to safely free him from the vehicle. The deer was killed instantly.
Although deer collisions are scary, run-in's with moose are downright terrifying. Don't believe us? Check out this gallery of 15 moose-vehicle collisions.
