Fast straights and narrow corners lead to a spectacular crash at the Macau Grand Prix.
NASCAR fans are well aware of the "the big one" in regards to crashes at Daytona and Talladega, but these tracks apparently have nothing on the car-collecting pileups at the Macau Grand Prix.
During this year's FIA GT qualifying race, almost the entire field was caught up in or impeded by a scary chain reaction pileup.

The crash took place during the first lap of the qualifier, which was immediately red flagged, and it started when Daniel Juncadella hit the retaining wall in his Mercedes-AMG GT3 racecar.
Stopped in the middle of the fast, tight turn, it didn't take long for car after car to be collected in the mayhem.
Looking like a scene from Cars 2 where only Lightning McQueen and Francesco Bernoulli survive to the finish line, just four cars made it through the turn before the crash.
One of the drivers lucky enough to miss the pileup was Edoardo Mortara, who wound up winning the race on Sunday in his Mercedes. Fortunately, there were no major injuries to the drivers, but you're probably looking at millions of dollars worth of damage to the racecars.
Sadly, this pileup wasn't the only big news from the weekend's Macau Grand Prix. During the motorcycle race on Saturday, 31-year-old Daniel Hegarty of England died as a result of the injuries he sustained when he lost control of his bike and high-sided right into the barriers. According to Macau Grand Prix race organizers, Hegarty passed away en route to the hospital.
