Michigan State Parks Turn 100 Years Old Next Month

State parks have come a long way throughout the course of history.

The Great Lakes State will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of its state parks. To commemorate the 100 years of dedication to the state's beautiful landscape and natural resources, it made a video highlighting some of the parks it's established over the years.

To properly honor 100 years, the state adopted the slogan, "Look Back, Give Forward."

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources manages over 100 state parks, in addition to 16 state harbors on the Great Lakes. However, this video only highlighted a handful of those parks, which are listed below in the order they appeared in the video.

It's hard to believe there are so many parks in each state that we all have access to. If you have the opportunity to go enjoy them, capitalize on it!
