The USPS is saluting our nation's furry heroes with stamps! A book of 20 is available on August 1st for $11.00 but you can pre-order these now! Do you love these as much as we do? Honestly, we always buy the 'dog' stamps when we head over to the post office and I bet you all do too!
Earlier this year in a statement issued by the USPS, we learned that the Postal Service was planning to honor the nation's brave and loyal military working dogs with this new booklet of 20 stamps and now you can order these before they're available at the post office.
"Each block of four stamps features one stamp of each of the following breeds — German shepherd, Labrador retriever, Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherd — that commonly serve in America's armed forces. The background of each stamp features a detail of a white star. A star appears in the center of each block. The stylized digital illustrations are in red, white, blue and gold to represent the American flag and patriotism. The art was created by DKNG Studios. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps."

These courageous canines have aided U.S. soldiers in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
Where are some of these dogs being trained? Today, the 341st Training Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base just outside of San Antonio, Texas, trains American military working dogs and their handlers.
Enjoy these stamps! They're part of the 2019 Forever Stamp Collection. These military dogs are putting themselves on the line every day.
