The volcano eruption of Mount St. Helens changed America forever.
Even decades later, the area still bears the scars.
Watch this video Mobile Instinct shared on YouTube and see what Mount St. Helens looks like 37 years later.
The volcano eruption of May 18, 1980, claimed many lives and destroyed a vast area in what can be best compared to an atomic bomb blast. Equipment, forests and lives perished in the blink of an eye. Many of us remember watching the destruction on television when we were children. It certainly made me respect volcanoes at a young age.
This video shows that, even now, the twisted wreckage and barren lands still linger in that hallowed land. May the lost souls of that horrible day rest in peace.
