Though small in size, these cats are viscous little critters with a lot of power. Capable of taking down an adult doe, they are nothing to mess with.
Not very often do you hear of a bobcat interacting with pets or humans. For the most part, they mind their own business in the wild and are gone in a split second to avoid encounters. But this bobcat had a somewhat different train of thought and attacked a dog and then a man.
According to Fox 10 of Phoenix News, a bobcat in Anthem, Arizona began following a man and his German Shepherd while on a walk. After some time, the bobcat attacked and latched on to the dogs leg. Bystanders jumped in to help the man rescue his dog before eventually getting attacked as well.
You can see the man who tried to help frantically swing the bobcat around after it latched onto his hand in this crazy video.
WARNING: This video may be graphic to some and the language is explicit.
Authorities from Arizona Game and Fish officials arrived at the scene and attempted to capture and secure the bobcat, but after he continued to act aggressively, they were forced to the disgruntled feline down for the safety of the area. The bobcat will now be tested for rabies.
The man and dog are both ok, but not after a very scary chain of events.
There is a reason they are called wild animals, you just never know what they might do.
