A good hearted fellow jumped in to free a duckling caught in fishing line, but the mother hen wasn't happy. It's a good thing they don't have teeth!
It's always good for the heart to see people helping out animals that couldn't possibly help themselves, it's just that sometimes Mother Nature tries to bite the hand that's helping it.
Enter one mother hen mallard that has at least a dozen chicks, but is extremely hell bent on saving the one that got stuck.
This guy deserves a medal and a band-aid:
First of all thanks to one enterprising fellow for taking the time to free a duckling tangled in some twigs and fishing line!
Secondly: come on fisherman (yes fisher-man) take your used line with you for goodness sake. It's people like you that give the rest of us a bad name. It's only water, get your feet wet or be like the guy that saved the duckling because of you, and take your shoes off.
You only have to be smarter than the fishing line, pal!
