The new 2018 Nissan Armada's top trim, Platinum, features the first-ever Intelligent Rearview Mirror (I-RVM) that promises better, unobstructed views of the road.
The first-ever intelligent rearview mirror is comprised of two components: an Intelligent Rear View Mirror with LCD monitor and a rear-facing camera integrated into the rear window glass.
The combination allows the driver's view to remain unobstructed from tall passengers, large items, or quarreling kids in the backseat.

The actual rearview mirror uses an LCD monitor that can be turned on or off with a switch to bring the rear window camera "recording" in view.
The I-RVM uses a narrowed angle camera with a 4:1 aspect ratio, unlike the traditional 4:3 or 16:9 in standard monitors.
The 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum is now on sale with an MSRP starting at $61,590.
