This boy is most certainly a cowboy in the making, and is even learning how to drive a rig and train his dogs.
The saying is "don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys," right? Well, something tells us that there's no stopping this cowboy in the making from achieving his dreams. After all, he's already learning how to drive a truck, tow a trailer, and train his dogs. All he needs is a horse and he'll be set.
In all seriousness, though, this might be the cutest cowboy in the making that we've ever seen. Hat and chaps on, he's ready to go. And just get a load of that rig! Why didn't they have those when I was a kid?
Take a look, if you can handle the cuteness of it all.
This cowboy will actually have quite the advantage when he gets older. When kids learn to ride young, they often have less fear than older children or adults who learn to ride a horse. Kids have the miraculous ability to "bounce" if they fall off, whereas any adult will tell you that talent vanishes sometime around when you become a teenager. Kids are also highly flexible, making achieving an optimum position in the saddle easier and also allowing them to better stick with a spooking horse.
Didn't get your start as young as this cowboy? No worries, with a bit of extra work you can still catch up. But from the looks of it you'd better start working on your trailer driving skills now. We can't wait to see what becomes of this cowboy once he gets himself a horse and starts working cows!
How old were you when you first started riding horses? Let us know in the comments.
