BMW isn't messing around with its fourth-generation X5, which is touted as "all new" for 2019.
The new BMW X5 is available in two trim levels: the X5 xDrive40i and X5 xDrive50i. BMW packs the mid-size luxury SUV with an impressive assortment of amenities that comes standard.
By way of performance, you'll get to revel in a smooth but capable Sport automatic transmission with launch control and dynamic damper control for flawless driving experiences.
The new X5 promises more power than the previous generation, with a range of 335-456 horsepower; the 2018 model delivered a range of 255-445 horsepower. In the xDrive50i trim, you'll rocket from 0-60 mph in just 4.6 seconds.
Compared to the outgoing X5, the 2019 X5's wheelbase is 1.6 inches longer.
In the cabin, expect nothing but the latest tech. Two 12.3-inch digital instrument displays come outfitted, hosting the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation and iDrive 7.0. Integral active steering and blind spot detection and frontal collision warning with city collision mitigation round out the list for standard equipment.
If you plan to hit the trails in your BMW, opt for the all-wheel drive xOff-Road Package, which includes an air suspension and mechanical rear locking differential. Yes, you can opt for an off-road package in an BMW, in case you weren't aware.
You can even spring for available 22-inch wheels for exceptional ride height; it's also BMW's first-ever offering of its kind. Top it off with the available BMW trailer hitch that supports a 7,200-lb towing capacity.
The M Sport Package is an option as well, delivering on all style fronts with a sports steering wheel, unique pedals, seat piping, and Aluminum Tetragon interior trim.
Up to 72.3 cubic feet of cargo space is yours when you engage the split-folding rear seat; 31.7 cubic feet is available behind the second row. The BMW X5 grants drivers the option of a third row, along with a power split tailgate for enhanced convenience, and there's a rear-seat entertainment option.
Additional features that are available include four-zone climate control, heated and cooled front cup holders and a 30-percent larger glass roof.
