Patagonia is ready to take a stand for public lands. A message like this is nice to hear.
Patagonia has become who they are by making world class products that spread across boundary lines. For example, there are people wearing the Patagonia fish right now in some city that has never even held a fishing pole. I think that is fantastic.
However, it now seems this company is making some noise, and not just in the clothing industry. For example, check out this commercial featuring company founder, Yvon Chouinard. When you hear him talk, you can tell he means business.
What you just watched is the first ever TV ad that this company has ever produced. From this point, everything else has been made for the Internet, or just a commercial promoting one of their products. However, this piece is a direct message to our representatives in Washington that seem to be selling our land to the highest bidder.
It's a strange time to be alive right now. Hopefully, the time to enjoy the Great Outdoors is still just getting started. The only way to keep it that way is if people like us take action.
