The Pendleton Round-Up is one of the United States' most famous annual rodeo events. Round-Up Week includes everything from professional bull riders and barrel racers, to beauty pageants and wild cow milking. Far from a force to be trifled with, the Round-Up is part of the PRCA, and has even been inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. If you're serious about rodeos and the American West, you've got to get to Pendleton!
Proud East Oregonians have hosted the Round-Up every second full week of September for over 110 years. The only cancellations on record were in 1943-44, during World War II, and 2020, due to coronavirus. But with the pandemic on the retreat, Eastern Oregon's Umatilla County is back in the saddle again, and the Round-Up's Board of Directors has given the okay to let'er buck!
Whether you're driving in from Portland for an annual family trip, or flying in from out of state to enjoy the festivities for your first time, we hope the following information helps you out!
