Watch this deer rescue after falling through thin ice.
A deer fell through the ice in Pennsylvania and needed some rescuing. Officials with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the Army Corps of Engineers went out to rescue the deer, putting themselves at risk. Officer Steve Martin said two men with a canoe went to work to help the deer, and that the animal may have died without them.
The men swam through the cold water as rescuers used ice picks to clear a path to allow the deer to swim to shore. The deer made it out safely, and scrambled away once on shore. What a crazy way for a deer to get trapped, let alone how it was saved!
